Change PDF page layout

Customize the layout of already existing documents:

Click on the preference tab "Layout". Choose for "PDF page layout" the option "Custom layout" in the dropdown menu. Afterwards, further options for customizing the layout will be displayed.

Option "Change page format / size / position"

You can change the layout of existing documents, for example from A3 to A4. You can set the page size, orientation, page margin and also the size and position of the content on the new page.

Option "Add margin"

Choose this option if you want to add a page margin. The content will be scaled down, but the page size will remain the same.

Option "Remove margin"

Choose this option if you want to remove the page margin. The content will be scaled up, but the page size will remain the same.

Option "Cover margin"

Choose this option if the content should not be scaled up, but the page margin should be covered with white color. Text and other content in this area will be invisible. The page size will remain the same.

Note: Define a file name for the converted file

Before clicking "Convert", you can set a file name for the converted file. By default, a file name is suggested which contains the name of the first selected file.

After the conversion and the download, you can find the file in the default download folder (this can be adjusted in the browser settings).

Choose a meaningful filename in order to find the downloaded file in the download folder much easier.
